The exhaust gas recirculation system is for an engine with at least two separate input lines per combustion chamber. These are fitted with throttle units via which the flow cross section of at least one of the input lines can be controlled. Exhaust gas is supplied to the first input line (14a). At least part of the combustion air requirement and the fuel is supplied to the second input line (14b). The throttle units are formed from a tubular rotary disc valve (10) with apertures (26,32) overlapping the ends of the input lines. The exhaust gas is returned to the rotary disc valves. |
