The engine has a crank case in which a crankshaft is supported in a rotatable manner. A piston rod carrying a piston is guided to the crankshaft, where the piston is movable in a cylinder covered by a cylinder head. A vibration absorbing and length adjustable supporting device is provided between an exhaust-gas turbocharger and the internal combustion engine. The supporting device is attached to the exhaust-gas turbocharger by an absorbing device. The device has primary and secondary parts (1,2).
