摘要 <p>The method involves using infrared cameras (7) to measure the exact surface temperature of the walls (1) of a rectangular combustion chamber and to take pictures of the walls of the combustion chamber. The measured surface temperature is then compared with the temperature of the cooling medium flowing through the pipes on the walls of the combustion chamber. The thickness of the walls and pipes based on the photographed image is then compared with the predetermined thickness of the walls and pipes to determine formation of deposits (6) on the walls of the combustion chamber. The deposits, such as dust-loaded solid particles, may be formed on the walls of the combustion chamber due to the reaction of the cooling medium, flowing through the pipes on the walls of the combustion chamber, with heat. The total thickness of the formed deposits can be calculated by comparing the predetermined thickness and surface temperature of the walls of the combustion chamber with the measured thickness and surface temperature of the walls of the combustion chamber from the infrared cameras. The infrared cameras are installed in the combustion chamber. An independent claim is included for the monitoring device.</p>
