A dye-based recordable DVD medium for use in optical recording by means of a recording method, said recording method comprising irradiating cooling pulse beams onto the backwards of respective recording pulse beams forming marks at an optical energy of 0 .1mW or less for a given length of time,
wherein the dye-based recordable DVD comprises a substrate and a recording layer formed on the substrate, the substrate comprises a guide groove with a wobble formed thereon, and the recording layer comprises an organic dye as the main component.
