The present invention provides an elastic necked-bonded laminate material(40) or elastic neck stretched bonded laminate material including at least onenecked material (12) joined to at least one elastic sheet (32) that has been stretchedin the cross-machine direction and allowed to relax prior to joining with thenecked material. The elastic sheet (32) can be stretched prior to being joinedwith the necked material or following the joining to the necked material (12).Also disclosed is a method of producing an elastic necked-bonded laminate materialincluding the step of stretching the elastic sheet in a macroscopic stretchingapparatus (18), such as between the nip of a series of spaced apart discs (71, 72)on two axles. |
