The machine for making paper bags from a flat sleeve cut into sections, uses a roller with two projecting rods (14, 15) to fold over one open end of the sleeve to make a flap. The outer surface of the flap is then coated with adhesive before it is folded a second time and stuck down onto the sleeve in a double fold. The machine has a series of posts to feed, drive, cut and fold the sleeve, with the folding post having two identical rods (14, 15) able to pivot about an axis parallel to their lengthwise axis and spaced at a distance equivalent to the width of the folded flap. |
