A receiving mode control method of a wireless LAN(Local Area Network) station is provided to be capable of dynamically controlling a beacon listen interval of the wireless LAN station according to the number of packets and the size of data to be received from an AP(Access Point), thus power consumption of the station is reduced. Wireless LAN stations transmit beacon listen intervals to an AP(S31). The AP transmit beacons to the wireless LAN stations at the received beacon listen intervals(S32). If data to be transmitted to the stations exists, the AP includes information on the number of packets and the size of the data in the beacons, and sends the beacons to the stations(S34). The stations perceive the information on the number of the packets and the size of the data, and determine a point of time for entering the next power-saving mode according to the number of the packets and the size of the data to be received(S35). |
