FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly manufacture of large-size channel bars in rough roll grooved passes. ^ SUBSTANCE: initial stage of rolling process is realized simultaneously in two beam type roll grooved passes without intermediate tilting between said passes at centering rectangular blank relative to vertical axis of grooved pass by means of walls of first grooved pass in level of ridges of upper and lower grooves of pass. In second roll grooved pass blank is centered by means of central ridges of grooves and central recesses of rolled piece at upper and lower sides formed in first roll grooved pass. ^ EFFECT: shortened time period for tuning, strict geometry of rolled pieces. ^ 1 ex, 1 dwg
