A method for displaying a captured image of a subject and a mobile terminal employing the method are provided to change a sample image according to user's taste by using various image processing techniques. Sample images previously stored in a memory are displayed on a display unit(S101). One of displayed images is selected(S102). A captured image of a subject received from a lens is displayed together with the selected image in layers(S103).
