A mobile terminal is provided to simplify an operation of opening the second body with respect to the first body such that it is automatically rotated to be opened when the second body is pushed up in a lengthwise direction. The second body(130) is connected with the first body(120) such that it can be opened and closed. An opening/closing unit, which includes a hinge connection part(210) and elastic providing units(250,270), is installed between the first and second bodies(120,130), and allows the second body(130) to be rotated to be opened when the second body(120) is slidably moved upward. One end of the hinge connection part(210) is hinge-connected with the first body and the other end thereof is hinge-connected with the second body(130) to allow the second body(130) to be rotatably moved with respect to the first body(120). The elasticity providing units(250,270) are installed between the first body(120) and the hinge connection part(210) and make the second body(130) elastically rotate in the same rotation direction as that of the second body(130) when the second body is slidably moved in lengthwise direction.
