FIELD: nuclear engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed nuclear-reactor fuel element has sealed zirconium alloy can, plugs, fuel pile, and gas collector accommodating fuel pile hold-down device made of iron-chromium-nickel alloy in the form of cylindrical spring incorporating hold-down and compensating turns joined by buffer turn.
