摘要 A method for producing composite foam comprising hydroxyapatite and polyurethane is provided to obtain composite foam showing no separation of hydroxyapatite powder, maintaining an internal structure including open cells, having a large specific surface area, and useful for an adsorbent material for heavy metals. The method for producing composite foam comprising hydroxyapatite and polyurethane comprises the steps of: mixing and agitating 40-90 wt% of urethane prepolymer with 10-60 wt% of hydroxyapatite powder; and foaming the resultant mixture by using water as a foaming agent. In the foaming step, water reacts with isocyanate groups of the urethane prepolymer to form carbamic acid, which is converted into carbon dioxide and amine. Water as the foaming agent is added in an amount corresponding to 0.5-2 times of the weight of the urethane prepolymer.
