An emergency ladder-cum-veranda handrail of an apartment house is provided to improve the utility of a handrail by using as a handrail of a veranda at ordinary times and using as a ladder in an emergency and to protect people from getting injured by an accidental fall by using a protective frame. The emergency ladder-cum-veranda handrail of an apartment house contains a main frame(1) installed across an opening of a veranda and composed of two horizontal frames(10a) and two vertical frames(12), a protective frame(2) installed to the main frame to protect people from getting injured in an emergency and composed of a rectangular frame(20) fixed to one side of the upper horizontal frame of the main frame by a hinge(H) to rotate in a 90-degree arc. and supported on a lever(14) of the horizontal frame to be fixed on the main frame and provided with many semicircular rings(22) to supply a passage for people to go up and down in an emergency, and a handrail frame(3) located to the inside of the main frame to function as a handrail at ordinary times and separated from the main frame to function as an emergency ladder in an emergency, and provided with rings(30) to suspend on a fastener of the vertical frame. |
