Data exchange between insurer and repairer

A computer system for exchanging data between the computer systems of an insurer and a repairer comprises an authentication server, a parser a queuing server and a data collector. The authentication server authenticates the repairer intending to send a message to or receive a message from an insurer. Each message is one of a closed set. The closed set has a predetermined number of messages in the form of data content wrapped in syntax to allow it to be mapped to a datastore having a structure which obeys relationship constraints and referential integrity. The parser parses the data content and the queuing server receives the parsed data content and temporarily holds the data content in a queue until it can be received by a data collector. The data collector validates the parsed data content and stores it to the datastore. (61) Addition to 527509
