Spirocyclic piperidines as MCH1 antagonists and uses thereof

Spirocyclic piperidine compounds of formula (I) which are selective antagonists for melanin concentrating hormone-1 (MCH1) receptors are disclosed, wherein the variables are as defined in the specification. Pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of the compound of formula (I) and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, and a process for making a pharmaceutical composition comprising combining a therapeutically effective amount of the compound of formula (I) and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is also disclosed. These compounds are suitable for treating a subject suffering from, obesity, urinary incontinence, depression and/or anxiety.
