<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of operating efficiently for demand load in a wide scope by using mixed fuel made of hydrocarbon and alcohol. <P>SOLUTION: Intake ports 4a, 4b are provided with two injectors 5a, 5b, respectively. These two injectors are composed of the first injector 5a for jetting hydrocarbon fuel and the second injector 5b for jetting alcoholic fuel. The optimum combustion system is selected from an operation condition to adjust to a proper alcohol ratio in accordance with respective combustion systems. This internal combustion engine is provided with the first intake port 4a for guiding the hydrocarbon fuel into an inner peripheral part of a combustion chamber and a second intake port 4c for guiding the alcoholic fuel into an outer peripheral part of the combustion chamber to control distribution of octane number in a cylinder. This internal combustion engine is provided with a separation means 8 for separating into the alcoholic fuel made of alcohol and water and the hydrocarbon fuel by adding water to the mixed fuel made of alcohol and hydrocarbon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
