<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a printer perform download using one of a non-secure protocol and a secure protocol according to whether or not the printer of a printout destination is present inside a network segment wherein an information processor generating print control information is present. <P>SOLUTION: When a desired data file that is a printing target stored in a server on a network is designated on an application and when an instruction of printing is performed, an activated printer port is acquired by a printer driver (S1101). It is decided whether a transmission destination IP address shown by the acquired printer port is present outside the in-house network segment or not (S1104). When it is decided that the transmission destination IP address is present inside the the in-house network segment, HTTP is set as a protocol related to file acquisition described inside a job ticket (S1105).
