<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire 2 capable of enhancing the responsiveness, the swinging property, and the turnability without impairment of the stability. <P>SOLUTION: The tire 2 has a belt cord 32 which is spirally wound. The absolute value of the angle of the belt cord 32 formed with respect to the equatorial plane is ≤ 5°. A tread face 18 of the tire 2 comprises a center area 38 with the equatorial plane forming its center, an intermediate area 40 on both sides of the center area 38, and a shoulder area 42 on the outer side in the axial direction of the intermediate area 40. The center area 38 has a first center groove 44 and a second center groove 46 in which the absolute value of the angle formed with respect to its equatorial plane is ≥ 5° and ≤ 35°.
