<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the setting of a paper attribute to be performed without confusion by each user when the setting of the paper attribute by the user is performed from a self terminal unit or an external terminal unit. <P>SOLUTION: An approved terminal unit registration accepting section 123 registers the identification information of a terminal unit in the setting approved terminal unit data region 141 of a storage section 14 as the identification information of the setting approved terminal unit based on a setting approved terminal unit registration demand from each terminal unit such as an image reading device 40. When the input for a setting indication by a setting indication inputting section 121 is performed by either one of terminal units, an approval/disapproval control section 124 judges whether the input originated terminal unit is a setting approved terminal unit or not by comparing the identification information of the input originated terminal unit and the identification information of the setting approved terminal unit being registered in advance. When the input originated terminal unit is the setting approved terminal unit, the setting of the paper attribute based on the inputting of the setting indication is approved.
