<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile drive assist device for a physically handicapped person who has handicapped legs, which assist device can be attached to any automobile with an automatic transmission without a specific work in advance, can be attached and adjusted by a driver, and is light in weight and compact, and portable. <P>SOLUTION: The automobile drive assist device has an operating rod mechanism having one end to be operated manually and the other end capable of transmitting an operating force to a brake pedal and an accelerator pedal. The other end of the operating rod mechanism is attached to the brake pedal via a brake bracket to separate the operation of an accelerator and is connected to the accelerator pedal via an accelerator link.
