PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk reproducing device that immediately discriminates a final session overwritten on an unclosed multi-session disk so as to be capable of quickly executing read processing of TOC information. SOLUTION: The disk reproducing device 10 includes: a reproducing operation drive section 14 for reading data of each session recorded on a CD-RW disk; and a system control section 11 for storing a first address included in a lead-in area of a session and denoting a start address of data areas for a succeeding session. When an optical pickup 14c is positioned in an area between a prescribed address and the first address, an area discrimination means discriminates whether the optical pickup 14c is located on the lead-in area or a lead-out area, and reading of the TOC information is terminated when no optical pickup 14c is located on the lead-in area and the lead-out area to quickly execute the read processing of the TOC information.
