PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator car only for a parcel, with carriage stoppers which are reliably operated in linkage with the opening/closing of car doors to hold a stable resting condition. SOLUTION: At the side ends of car doorways 29, 30, operation rods 13 are installed vertically movable relative to a car floor surface 10. On a car floor at the car center side beyond the operation rods, the carriage stoppers 11 are installed to be vertically put into and out of the car floor surface and moving mechanisms 15 are provided for moving the carriage stoppers to the opposite directions to the moving directions of the operation rods relative to the car floor surface. When the car doors 2, 3 are closed, the operation rods are pushed down by the weights of the car doors to protrude the carriage stoppers.
