PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope trolley type crane gear for allowing easy maintenance of a traverse wire by reducing force on a trolley and a sub trolley in the direction of approaching each other. SOLUTION: The crane gear comprises first and second wire ropes 29, 33, 31, 35 from which a bucket 7 is suspended, drums 23, 25 for winding or unwinding the first and second wire ropes 29, 33, 31, 35, and a main sheave 13 and a sub sheave 17 movably arranged. The first wire ropes 29, 33 are guided from the bucket 7 to the main sheave 13, the sub sheave 17 and drums 23, 25 in sequence. The second wire ropes 31, 35 from the bucket 7 are wound on the main sheave 13 and then guided to the opposite side to the sub sheave 17, and they are wound on the sub sheave 17 at the opposite side to the main sheave 13 or wound on the sub sheave 17 and then guided to the opposite side to the main sheave 13 and to the drums 23, 25.
