PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small diameter wire winding method and a small diameter wire winding device capable of winding a small diameter wire having suppressed wire curl and excellent linearity around a spool. SOLUTION: In the small diameter wire winding method to wind a gold wire 2 delivered from a bobbin 3 around which the gold wire 2 is wound around the spool 4, change of a delivery position by the bobbin 3 with respect to one point on a winding-wire path connecting the delivery position with a winding position by the spool 4 is detected. When the change exceeds a predetermined threshold value, to set the delivery position with respect to the one point within the threshold value, the gold wire 2 is wound around the spool 4 while the bobbin 3 is moved.
