PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive force distribution device for a vehicle capable of exhibiting rear wheel speed-increase function and left and right drive force independent control function while accomplishing insurance of high layout freedom and reduction of friction loss/cost/weight. SOLUTION: In a rear wheel motive power transmission route, a transfer gear mechanism 8 at a front wheel side and a rear final gear mechanism 10 at a rear wheel side are connected to each other only through a propeller shaft 9. It is connected from a drive output part of the rear final gear mechanism 10 to a left rear wheel drive shaft 13 through a first clutch 11 and is connected from the drive output part of the rear final gear mechanism 10 to a right rear wheel drive shaft 14 through a second clutch 12. A gear ratio TG of the transfer gear mechanism 8 and a gear ratio FG of the rear final gear mechanism 10 is set to a speed-increase gear ratio that the rear wheels 15, 16 are speed-increased than the front wheels 6, 7. The first clutch 11 and the second clutch 12 are made to independent variable control type clutches that transmission torque is independently changed/controlled from the outside respectively.
