<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head having improved durability while retaining shooting properties such as a carry. <P>SOLUTION: This golf club head is so formed that a face part consists of a metal layer and a fiber reinforced plastic layer, the fiber reinforced plastic layer is formed by joining the face of the metal layer with the surface of an opposite side and, when the thickness of the face part is defined as W and a distance from the face to the joining face between the metal layer and the fiber reinforced plastic layer is defined as D, the thickness W and the distance D satisfy either one of a formula (1): W/10<D<W×3/8 or a formula (2): W×5/8<D<W×9/10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
