<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst-containing layer exhibiting a high activity in a short time, and a pattern formation body or the like using the photocatalyst-containing layer. <P>SOLUTION: In order to accomplish the above object, the photocatalyst-containing layer containing at least the photocatalyst is provided, in which a cylindrical fixture for measuring an electron spin concentration formed from a material not generating a radical and not consuming the radical is installed on a surface of the photocatalyst-containing layer, a spin trapping agent solution is added into the cylinder of the fixture for measuring the electron spin concentration, the photocatalyst-containing layer is irradiated with a UV ray from a high pressure mercury lamp having illuminance of 550 lux until an integrated energy amount becomes 2,000 mJ/m<SP>2</SP>to generate the radial from the photocatalyst-containing layer, and thereafter, when measurement by an electron spin resonance method is performed relative to the spin trapping agent solution that the radical is trapped, the electron spin concentration derived from a hydroxy radical is 1.0×10<SP>20</SP>spin or more per m<SP>2</SP>of the photocatalyst-containing layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
