PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably provide polyethylenic resin foamed molded product utilizable as a sound absorbing material and a water permeable material and having a high void ratio, high compression strength and high acoustic absorptivity within a wide frequency range (especially a low frequency region of 1,000 Hz or below) using a polyethylenic resin prefoamed particle capable of being produced simply and economically. SOLUTION: The polyethyenic resin prefoamed particle satisfies a condition of 0.55ρ2≤ρ1≤0.60ρ2 in the relation between its bulk densityρ1 and true densityρ2 and has a columnar shape of which the L/D ratio is 2-3. The polyethylenic resin foamed molded product having a high void ratio, high compression strength and high acoustic absorptivity within a wide frequency range (especially a low frequency region of 1,000 Hz or below) can be obtained using the polyethylenic resin prefoamed particle.
