PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for measuring<SP>14</SP>CO<SB>2</SB>fluxes at a boundary surface of an environmental medium, by using a flowing-gas technique. SOLUTION: An air chamber which has an inlet, an outlet and an aperture, is arranged so as to regulate an atmosphere space being in contact with a constant area of the boundary surface of the environmental medium, and concentrations of the<SP>14</SP>CO<SB>2</SB>fluxes are measured at the inlet and the outlet, and then they are evaluated by using the expression shown in figure.
