PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can inform the opening of a game ball path when it is held at the opening position as caused by a trouble of a gate member for opening or closing the game ball path provided within a game ball handler in a type with the game ball handler. SOLUTION: The game machine requires the loading of a prescribed number of game balls in each game and starts the game when the loading of the prescribed number of game balls is completed. The loading of the game balls is carried out with a loading unit 30 comprising loading devices 35-37 successively arranged. A loading path and a discharge path are formed within a housing of the loading devices 35-37. The loading of the game balls is carried out with the loading path and the game balls which are blocked from being loaded with the loading path can be discharged through the discharge path. With such an arrangement, the gate member for discharge is so arranged as to get it inserted through all of the loading devices 35-37.
