MULTI-FUNCTION MICROKERATOME

A multi-function microkeratome, comprises a control system, a main body (2)of the keratome, and a vacuum pump(105). The main body (2) contains a dual-motor assembly which is composed of a first motor(107) and a second motor(108). The control system includes an input device(102) for selecting the type of the surgery operation according to the user's needs; a control device(103) for controlling the activation and the stop of the vacuum pump(105) and for controlling the feeding and the retreating of the main body(2); a sampling device(104) for sampling the vacuum pressure of the vacuum pump(105) and the working current of the first motor(107), and providing the sampling values to a CPU(101) to perform evaluation; an output device(109) for outputting video signals representing of the vacuum pressure of the vacuum pump(105) and giving an audio alarm on the basis of the evaluation result; a CPU(101) for controlling the operations of the first and second motors(107,108) on the basis of the operation type determined by the input device(102) and by determining whether the vacuum pump(105) supplies normal working vacuum pressure according to the selected operation. The keratome can perform two different types of operations with a single system.
