PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a fluorescent display device possible the large-sizing of a cover glass as well as the reduction of a manufacturing cost and the improvement of a production yield. SOLUTION: A spacer glass 2 is formed in a frame-like shape with four sides consisting of 2a and 2d. A front glass 3 is sealed on the upper opening portion of the spacer glass 2 as to cover the spacer glass 2 with low melting point frit glass 7. For the space glass 2, two sides of 2a, 2b are formed with one strip-like glass piece 5 in being bent at one place, and another two sides of 2c, 2d are formed with each strip-like glass piece.
