PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information storage medium capable of easily managing files including a video file, even if files to be managed are increased. SOLUTION: Information of a file system includes a file entry in which a recording position of a video file is described, the file entry includes AD, the AD includes length information and position information of an extent, existence of an unrecorded region is permitted in the extent, a physical sector number is set in both physical sectors in user area and guard area, further, a logical sector having a logical sector number and a logical block having a logical block number are defined, a place in which the physical sector number is discontinued in a place in which the logical sector number is continued, the logical sector is equal to the physical sector, they are 2048 bytes unit, length of the logical block is equal to length of the logical sector, and position information of the extent is specified by the logical block number in the AD.
