PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone exchange in which a system can be improved in service by enabling a service to be registered for a plurality of lines through one time of service initiation operation. SOLUTION: A base unit 51 provides various kinds of communication services while connecting to multi-functional telephone sets 52a-52i each having one or more line buttons and outside line trunks 53a-53j. The base unit 51 comprises a representative storage unit 514 for storing one or more representative terminals for each line, a service state storage unit 515 for storing a state of registering a call processing service for each line; and a terminal identification unit 513 and terminal designation unit 516 for identifying an operating terminal when requesting the initiation of call processing service. When the initiation of call processing service is requested from a terminal, the terminal is defined as a representative terminal and service registration is performed to the one or more lines stored in the representative storage unit 514 beforehand.
