PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the extension of a rod, sufficiently and surely prevent the rotation of the rod, and simply constitute a structure for extracting the rod from a leading end member, in a connecting structure of the rod for a drilling machine for drilling a hole in the ground etc. SOLUTION: In the connecting structure of the rod 11 for the drilling machine, the rods are connected together in a length direction via male and female parts 13 and 22 screwed to each other. At least one engaging groove 14, which is elongated in the circumferential direction, perpendicular to the length direction, of the rod 11 for the drilling machine, and which is to be engaged with an insertion member 24 for being inserted from sleeve parts 21 and 21a with the female screw part 22 for being screwed to the male screw part 13, is formed in a position adjacent to the male screw part 13. An insertion hole 23 for inserting the insertion member 24 is formed in a position corresponding to the engaging groove 14 of the sleeve part.
