A syringe consists of a syringe tube with an integrally moulded outlet nozzle provided with a removable cap (4). A material container is slidingly disposed within the tube, which has a handle (8) screwed onto the end thereof. A threaded syringe piston (11) passes through a threaded borehole in the handle and engages a plug (6) inserted in the end of the material container. With the material container charged with a highly viscous material and the end cap removed, rotation of the threaded piston drives the material out through the nozzle. The piston may have markings along its thread to indicate the position of the plug within the material container. The device is pref. made from plastic materials, although metals may optionally be used. |
