<p>A cover plate assembly for a lithium ion battery, and a lithium ion battery using the same. The cover plate assembly comprises a terminal, an upper insulation piece, a cover plate and a lower insulation piece, which are fitted with each other successively. An injection hole is arranged in the terminal. A through hole is correspondingly arranged in the cover, the upper insulation piece and the lower insulation piece. A convex platform is arranged in the exit terminal of the lower end of the injection hole, the convex platform extends outwards and keeps on running through the injection hole. The convex platform runs through the upper insulation piece, the cover plate and the lower insulation piece. The end of the convex platform turns over outwards and fix up the above assemblies so as to connect them together. The convex platform extending in the injection hole of the terminal is used to connect the whole cover plate assembly. The cover plate assembly is fixed up integratively by the means of rivet joint. Thus, the cover plate is simply structured and it's thickness is effectively reduced so as to ensure the connection tight and reliable.</p> |
