<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce show-through effects in a double-sided light emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: In this light emitting device, optical sheets and shading sheets wherein light emitting window regulating light emitting area are laminated in back and front surfaces of a light guide plate where the light source has been arranged at the side part, and the light emitting window comprises a large light emitting window and a small light emitting window formed in a position overlapping with the large light emitting window.
