PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-lived photoreceptor causing few image defects due to white spots with respect to an electrophotographic photoreceptor having good wear resistance and electrical properties; and to provide an image forming method using the long-lived photoreceptor causing few image defects due to white spots so that higher image quality is realized over a prolonged period of time, an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge for the image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has on a surface a cured covering layer obtained by radically polymerizing a curable covering composition containing A: a radically polymerizable monomer having three or more radically polymerizable groups in a molecule, B: a radically polymerizable compound having charge transport property represented by general formula (1), and C: a photopolymerization initiator.
