PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device, a sheet carrying device and an image reader having a means for storing a sheet while rounding the sheet in a cylindrical shape, and superior in operability for safely taking out the rounded and stored sheet. SOLUTION: A winding storage guide 27 is rotatably arranged around a support shaft 29, and moves to a taking-out position (a dotted line position) above the device from a winding position (a continuous line position) for winding, rounding and storing the sheet delivered in the (d) direction by being inserted from the (a) direction by crossing with a first paper delivery tray 26. A user takes out the stored sheet in an operation position in front of the device by moving the winding storage guide 27 to the winding position by operating a knob 28 in winding.
