PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetable and fruit sorting apparatus which solves the problems that the consignment cost is expensive in consignment analysis and takes a long time until the result of the analysis is obtained, and that the convenient analysis using ELISA method can obtain the result of the analysis in a few hours, however, it takes a long time in working of the sample preparation and is troublesome, and that the total inspection is impossible because it is a destructive inspection. SOLUTION: The vegetable and fruit sorting apparatus is characterized by being provided with an Integrated Circuit tag 15 which memorizes producer information of the vegetable and fruit 6 on a mounting table 5, connecting a bypass route 30 equipped with a residual agricultural chemical sensor 20 to a carrier means 2, being provided with an agricultural chemical sorting device 22 to sort the vegetable and fruit 6 into shipping vegetable and fruit 6a having a measured concentration value of the residual agricultural chemical smaller than the standard value set in advance and waste vegetable and fruit 6b having that larger than the standard value on the bypass route on the lower stream of the residual agricultural chemical sensor 20, being provided with an IC tag reading means 29 to read the producer information from the IC tag 15 on the carrier means 2 on the downstream of the end of the bypass route 30 and being provided with a producer sorting means 8 on the carrier 2 on the downstream of the IC tag reading means 29.
