The method involves retaining the supporting force from a swiveling frame for unloading a supporting ball (16) below a strap head (14). A closed region of the frame is removed and a clean and even connection surface is produced. The head is welded with a supporting ball at the frame. The frame is set in a reverse order for retaining the actual function of the supporting force of the frame on the ball. An independent claim is also included for a device for replacing the strap head belonging to a swiveling frame.
