A short distance wireless communication apparatus comprises an environment establishment information storing part that, associating, with packet loss information indicative of the number of packets not normally received in a short distance wireless communication, packet size information indicative of the size of the data included in each packet, stores the packet size information associated with the packet loss information; a reception environment acquiring part that acquires, via the short distance wireless communication, from the short distance wireless communication apparatus of the other communication end the packet loss information for a packet transmitted to the short distance wireless communication apparatus of the other communication end; a transmission environment establishing part that reads, from the environment establishment information storing part, the packet size information associated with the packet loss information acquired by the reception environment acquiring part; and a data transmitting part that uses the packet size read by the transmission environment establishing part to divide the data to be transmitted and then transmits the divided data to the short distance wireless communication apparatus of the other communication end.
