<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video server and a data transfer method capable of transferring video source data from a source server at a high speed without being restricted by a band limit placed on a data bus, so as to effectively utilize network resources. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 11 of the video server 1 includes a transfer buffer 10 acting like a buffer memory located between a network I/F 14 and the data bus 13. Upon the receipt of a source file arrived via a high speed network from the source server 2 by the network I/F 14, the CPU 11 temporarily stores the received source file to the transfer buffer 10. Moreover, the source file stored in the transfer buffer 10 is transferred to a source file storage 16 via the data bus 13 onto which a band limit is placed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
