<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent theft of an automobile by using a hand-free function of a cellular phone in the automobile. <P>SOLUTION: An anti-theft device for an automobile comprises an engine stop relay 4, an engine stop relay coil 8, a microcomputer board 5, an indicator 6, a keyboard 7, and a cellular phone hand-free 9 as a basic configuration. The cellular phone is connected to a cabin of the automobile by using the hand-free function of the cellular phone in the automobile, and it is identified whether or not the number of the cellular phone is the one registered in advance.
