POLYESTER RESIN COMPOSITION FOR LASER MARKING AND POLYESTER RESIN MOLDED ARTICLE MARKED BY LASER MARKING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin composition for marking by laser irradiation, forming a marked letter having high contrast, capable of easily forming a clear and durable marking in a short time without lowering mechanical strength and having improved flame retardancy.

SOLUTION: The polyester resin composition for laser marking contains (a) 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyester resin, (b) 0.5-30 pts.wt. of a bromine-based flame retardant having a bromine content of 55-85 wt.% and (c) 0.1-10 pts.wt. of an antimony-based flame retardant aid. The invention further provides a polyester resin molded article produced by the melt-molding of the resin composition and a marked polyester resin molded article obtained by irradiating the surface of the above molded article with laser light.
