PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a playback system for suitably reproducing a video appropriately from an optical disk. SOLUTION: In this system, a video title set attribute table is written in video manager information. In the video title set attribute information of the video title set attribute table, and a title set information management table, the number of sub-video streams of a video title set and sub-video stream attributes are written. A video manager menu is reproduced upon coincidence between a language code unique to a playback device and a video manager menu language code, a video title is reproduced by using the number of sub-video streams and the sub-video stream attributes (VTS_SPST_ATR).
