<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly prevent biting of a foreign matter by a window glass of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The control device 1 for the vehicle is provided with: an idling stop control means for stopping driving of an engine 3 when a predetermined stopping condition is materialized and re-starting the engine 3 when a predetermined starting condition is materialized; a drive means for ascending/acting or descending/acting the window glass 21a of the vehicle; an action detection means for detecting the action state of the window glass 21a; a foreign matter detection means for detecting clamping of the foreign matter to the window glass 21a; and a drive control means for reversing the ascending action of the window glass 21a by the drive means to the descending action when clamping of the foreign matter is detected by the foreign matter detection means.
