PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain effective waterproof and drip-proof ventilation structure even when a difference between the outside diameter of a lens unit and that of a moving barrel is small, and to make the moving stroke of the moving barrel longer. SOLUTION: The lens device has: a first lens barrel member 23 where a ventilation aperture 23a is formed; a second lens barrel member 1 capable of moving in an optical axis direction relative to the first lens barrel member; a water repellent ventilation cover member 44 covering over the ventilation aperture; and external casing members 2 and 3 covering over the cover member. The external casing member has a first wall part 2e extended inward in a radial direction so as to cover over a first end being the end of the first lens barrel member in the optical axis direction. A ventilation path opening on the cover member is formed in a space A between the inner peripheral end of the first wall part and the outer peripheral surface of the second lens barrel member, a space B between the first wall part and the first end, spaces C and D between the inner peripheral surfaces of the external casing members and the outer peripheral surface of the first lens barrel member.
