PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device structure in which load-bearing capacity against a fracture in a liquid crystal panel due to an external load is increased and, at the same time, strength is also increased while maintaining a currently used size of the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device 10 which is composed of a front frame, a liquid crystal display panel comprising a pair of substrates with mutually different sizes, an interior frame with an opening section arranged thereon, an illumination unit, and an exterior frame containing the illumination unit, a depressed area with a nearly trapezoid shape is arranged on the interior frame.
